Receiving Healing from Deep Rooted Negative Self-Beliefs That Began with Childhood Trauma –

Many adults are impacted by trauma that occurred during the formative childhood years.

Trauma creates a shift in the child subconscious mind, which, in turn, creates deep-rooted negative self-beliefs, low self-esteem, self-blame, and a myriad of other symptoms that escalate with time and last a lifetime unless treated.

We will identify traditional modalities of treatment as well as accelerated healing through hypnotherapy.

1. Identifying some common forms of childhood trauma ~

  • Neglect
  • Verbal
  • Sexual
  • Physical
  • Emotional

2. What are “Negative Self-Beliefs”?

  • Negative self-beliefs are unhealthy thought patterns formed in the subconscious mind by childhood thoughts learned through traumatic events. The negative thought patterns limit us in our lifetime by creating falsehoods about who we are and what we are capable of.
  • Some examples are:
    1. I’m not good enough.
    2. I have no value.
    3. I don’t fit in.
    4. I make bad things happen.
    5. I’m not smart enough.
    6. I caused the abuse.
    7. I’m different than everyone else.
    8. I won’t amount to anything, because I am so unimportant.
    9. The list goes on & on…

3. What are the 5 Pillars of Optimal Health?

  • Physical
  • Mental
  • Emotional
  • Social
  • Spiritual

4. How do negative self-beliefs affect the 5 Pillars of Optimal Health

  • Physical –
    • Unresolved negative self-beliefs may manifest themselves in the following ways:
      • Experience an inability to protect themselves.
      • Gain extra weight as a subconscious protectant.
      • Feel physically uncomfortable in their own skin, as if their body doesn’t fit or represent who they feel they are in their mind.
      • Live in their head most of the time and experience a disconnect to their own body & physical sensations.
      • Experience somatic (mystery) illnesses & conditions, and therefore, they feel as if they are physically weaker & sicker than their peers.
      • Hypervigilance – Fight or Flight Mode, tense & ready for attack, physically jumpy, and always ready for danger, whether they realize it or not.
  • Mental –
    • Negative self-beliefs lead to mindsets & mental conditions such as:
      • Anxiety
      • Depression
      • Panic attacks
      • Low self-esteem
      • Lack of confidence
      • Social Anxiety
      • Etc…
  • Emotional –
    • Some common emotions experienced:
      • Chronic worry
      • Sadness
      • Overwhelm
      • Unsettled
      • Stressed
      • Self-hate
      • Unworthy
      • Isolated & alone
  • Social –
    • The survivor will often experience the following in social environments:
      • Anxious and uncomfortable in social settings
      • No close friendships
      • Anxious and uncomfortable in work settings
      • Failed romantic relationship due to self-sabotage
      • Self-imposed isolation
      • Feelings of not fitting in
  • Spiritual –
    • Survivor’s often experience extreme spirituals views, such as:
      • Anger at a God/Creator that would allow them to suffer.
      • Insignificance to a level that they believe God/Creator doesn’t even hear them because they are so unimportant.
      • God/Creator is angry with them as they are bad and can’t be good enough, just as they are not good enough for their parent(s).
      • Believe that relying on God/Creator is a weakness in themselves.
      • Immerse themselves into spirituality to be good and pure enough.

5. Somatic pain – Mystery illness & ‘dis’ease that doctors cannot find a cause of.

  • When trauma is left unresolved and negative emotions are left untreated, these emotions and beliefs will internalize and manifest into symptoms of illness that physicians often are unable to find the source of. A few common somatic illness & conditions are:
    • Migraines
    • Stomach ailments
    • Skin Conditions
    • Bodily Aches & Pains
    • The list of physical ailments is limitless…..

6. Methods and modalities to treat untreated childhood trauma and negative self-talk –

  • There are many modalities used for treating childhood trauma.
    • Hypnotherapy
    • Psychoanalysis
    • Behavior Therapy
    • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
    • Psychodynamic Therapy
    • Group Therapy

Health Magazine conducted a comparison study of individuals who received treatment in psychoanalysis, behavior therapy, and hypnotherapy.

The findings were as follows:

  • Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions
  • Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions
  • Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions

This is a great example of the accelerated healing power of hypnotherapy!

7. Empower your mindset – Replace negative self-talk with daily positive affirmation and meditation.

  • Affirmations – A statement intended to provide encouragement, emotional support, or motivation, especially when used for the purpose of autosuggestion.
  • Meditation – The act of meditating, continued or extended thought; contemplation.

8. Weight blocks – Description:

  • Subconscious belief that added weight will protect you
  • The inner subconscious sabotages weight loss
  • People that spend thousands of dollars on weight loss programs and diets and never lose any weight… Sometimes they gain more

9. Overall health and wellness benefits of accelerated trauma recovery with hypnotherapy, as broken down by the “5 Pillars of Optimal Health”

  • Physical – Better health, zero somatic illness, relaxed & calm
  • Mental – Inner peace, living in the moment, no worries about yesterday or the future
  • Emotional – Happy joy-filled life, upbeat & positive
  • Social – No more isolating, close friends, meaningful relationships
  • Spiritual – Feeling valuable and worthy of God’s love and goodness, and part of the spiritual Universe as a whole.
