From Las Vegas take I-15 South to cross over Hoover Dam into Arizona where the road name changes to Hwy 93. Continue on Hwy 93 to Kingman, Arizona. Hwy 93 becomes W. Beale St. in Kingman. Turn right onto Grandview Ave. Continue tp W Andy Devine Ave/W Historic Rte 66. Turn right off of Rte 66 onto Hualapai Mountain Rd. Reach Hualapai Mountain Park Campground in 11.4 miles. There is a $10 entrance fee to Hualapai Mountain Park. Total distance from Las Vegas to Hualapai Mountain Park Campground is 138 miles.
From Hualapai Mountain Park Campground turn right and take another right onto Levi Levi Camp Rd in about 1/4 mile. Take Levi Levi Camp Rd to the Potato Patch Loop trailhead. The Potato Patch Loop is an 8.2-mile trail.

Hualapai Mountain Summit
David Smith has devoted the better part of one day each week over the past 20 years to experiencing a mountain trail running adventure. He began in the Pacific Northwest with the Columbia Gorge and Cascade Mountains; then moved to Southern California and experienced the Angeles Crest mountains; then the Northeast where he experienced the Hudson River Valley and Minnewaska; finally in 2016 to Las Vegas where he is experiencing and documenting Red Rock Canyon, the Spring Mountains (Mt. Charleston area), Death Valley and beyond!
