Adventure Route Summary

This wilderness loop begins at Willow Spring in Red Rock Canyon (NCA). From there it heads up Rocky Gap Road then summits the Wilson Ridgeline above Switchback Springs. Then it traverses the Wilson Ridgeline North to Willow Benchmark and rounds Willow Benchmark to take the La Madre Ridgeline to a point above La Madre Springs. Finally it descends from La Madre Springs to the White Rock Mountain Loop then returns to the start point at Willow Spring.

Expect to encounter steep limestone slopes and ledges. Enjoy a remote wilderness terrain populated by Pinyon Pines, Junipers, Yucca and Cacti. Your route will pass at least two natural mountain springs. 

Directions to the Start Point | Switchback Spring North Loop | Lovell Canyon, Nevada

From I-215 take the Charleston Blvd exit (at Red Rock Casino) and head upward through Summerlin toward Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Take the Red Rock Canyon scenic drive past the high point overlook to the Willow Spring picnic area between White Rock Mountain and the Rainbow Mountains that border the West side of Red Rock Canyon.
