When it was constructed in the 1930s, at 726 feet, Hoover Dam was the highest dam ever built, and still stands as a world-famous monument of engineering achievement. The 7 million people who visit Hoover Dam each year marvel at the impressive structure as they explore in and immediately around the dam.
But through the adventures on this page, you will see the Hoover Dam in all its glory from vantage points upon which very few, if any, of these millions of tourists ever stand. You’ll look down upon Hoover Dam from over a thousand feet above, observing the dam from Nevada to the West, Arizona to the East, the Colorado River flowing into the dam from the North above and spilling below to continue its mighty course to the South. More than 4 Hoover Dam area adventures will be completed in the Winter of 2024-2025.
